Nate is a graduate of Winter Park High School where he played football, ran track, and was a member of the weight lifting team. After high school Nate attended Norwich University, a senior military academy, where he played football and set out to attain a commission in the United States Marine Corps. After suffering a serious injury that ended his football career as well as his hopes of becoming an officer in the Marine Corps, Nate’s life goals changed. “I knew that I wanted to help people and athletes in particular, so that they would not suffer the same misfortune as myself and I felt that the strength and conditioning field was the most appropriate avenue to pursue in doing that. The majority of sports related injuries are related to muscular weakness and imbalances. Through educated and informed training methods, athletes can greatly reduce the chance of serious injury.” The next year Nate transferred to Elon University, where he graduated with a degree in Exercise Sports Science and began the process of attaining his certifications and building his training experiences before he even graduated. Nate’s training philosophy is based on the same proven methods he learned and used while training professional football players, working under his mentor Steve Saunders, for a company called Power Train Sports in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Current and former Power Train athletes include: 2008 NFL defensive MVP James Harrison(LB), Heath Miller(TE), Willie Colon(OT), Lawrence Timmons(LB) and Hines Ward(WR) of the 2008 World Champion Pittsburg Steelers. Mark Clayton(WR), Adam Terry(OT) and Derrick Mason(WR), of the Baltimore Ravens. Dan Kreider(FB) Rams, L.J. Smith(TE) Eagles, Adalius Thomas(LB) Patriots, Antwaan Randle El(WR) Redskins, John Kuhn(FB) Packers and many more. Nate left Power Train to return to Florida, start a family, and make his training methods available to athletes of all backgrounds and levels of competition. “I believe in taking an individualized approach to sports enhancement training. As a former athlete and as a professional strength coach my experiences have led me to the understanding that athletes are as unique and different, as they are the same. All athletes demand quality and expect results, but all athletes are not built the same and do not share the same common goals. This is why an individualized programming approach is not just a benefit for the elite athlete, but a necessity. If you are one of the elite, or you are just sick of the same old training methods and a lack of results, Spectrum Sports Performance is the place for you.” ![]() Ricky Argro Ricky graduated from Florida State University and brings a wealth of knowledge in speed due to his successful career on the Track team.
