Swimming elicits two thoughts: Power and Grace. The ability to be powerful and explode off the blocks and walls, maintaining great body position and technique to make your stroke look effortless.
POWER
Be the most explosive off of the blocks and into the water. Come out of your turns like you were shot out of a cannon.
STRENGTH
Gain the lower and upper body strength to pull and propel yourself through the water with ease.
CORE DEVELOPMENT
Stay horizontal and swim on top of the water, have the strength to tuck quickly on your turns.
ENERGY SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT
50 - 100 events are ALL OUT and need to thrive anaerobically. 200 and beyond are working aerobically, and need to train multiple energy systems.
INJURY PREVENTION
If you aren't in the water, you aren't helping yourself or team.
Testing & Evaluation
You will be taken through a thorough evaluation specific to Swimming. The evaluation will begin with a 7 series functional movement screen that will detect muscular imbalances and deficiencies. You will then go through our athletic performance analysis that evaluates specific athletic components of your events.
